I actually feel like I’m doing life right. In a year, I’ll be graduating with my Bachelor’s degree from my dream school. I am pursuing a major that feels custom made for me, and I’m not getting pushed into another career from my parents or anyone else. I’m working hard and I’m happy. Genuinely happy. I’ve been dating the man of my dreams for three years, and he’s also doing what he loves and accomplishing so much. I’m living in the present but feeling confident about the future. In high school, I was a slacker and had no idea what I was doing or who I was. I wanted the wrong things and wanted the wrong people. It’s amazing what you can become when you find genuine passion in your life, even when it’s been there all along.
